KIT LEAGUE & CENTRAL ILLINOIS LEAGUE AGREE TO PLAY ALL-STAR GAME

Representatives of the KIT League and the Central Illinois League met recently and have agreed to play an All-Star game between the two leagues on July 23rd at League Stadium in Huntingburg, IN the home of the Dubois County Bombers.  To learn more about the CICL, click on the above logo.

PIRATES NOW IN THE KIT

The KIT League is pleased to welcome the Tradewater Pirates to the league for play beginning this summer.  The Pirates have been playing in the NBC since their inception in 1999.  Fans and players will enjoy games at Riverside Park in Dawson Springs, KY in a great environment.

GREYHOUNDS ATTEND A.B.C.A.

The Union City Greyhounds had a representative attend the 2007 ABCA National Conference in Orlando, FL in January.  Greyhound Director of Baseball Operations Stephen Crockett and his wife Ronda worked the Greyhounds booth on the convention floor and made several contacts with coaches and administrators from other collegiate leagues.  Mr. Crockett will share what he learned at the January meeting of the KIT League.

SCHEDULING MEETING SET

The Board of Directors of the KIT League met Monday January 22nd at the Union CIty City Hall to hash out the schedule for the 2007 KIT League season.  The schedule can be viewed by clicking on the schedule link at the top of the page.  The board also approved a playoff format that will begin on July 30th with the 5th place team visiting the 4th place team and the 6th place team traveling to the 3rd place team.  The winners will proceed to a best 2 out of 3 second round July 31st through August 2nd.  The winner of 5v4 will be at the first place team while the winner of 6v3 will be at the second place team.  The winners of the 2nd round will play for the KIT League Championship in a best 2 out of 3 series August 3rd through the 5th.
